Small incident

Post by Nelsona »

Two days ago I was trying to check commandlets available in server-machine which I'm using for gaming. Surprisingly the HP brand keyboard was refusing to deal with keys "E" and "C".
By testing machine (with some emotions of course) using my default operating keyboard everything was normal. I had to disassemble HP keyboard and I cleaned electric parts with some screwdriver and alcohol used in medicine, and after that everything has returned back to normal (Idk for how much time).

Conclusion:
I realized that time is passing, oxide has a word to say in everything, sooner or later I will have to say bye at these brand goodies... which makes me sad enough...

I only use Logitech brand and have never experienced anything like what you had happen. However at times keyboard gets dirty and I'll take it out to the garage using air compressor to clean.

Eh, it worked 24 hours (or less), good, I'll drop it away. I have some old good keyboards around, I was intended to use HP to HP but...
I have also an old "ISA" type keyboard which was used on the second 286 machine brought in this town years ago. The guy having that machine gave me keyboard years later because I was helping him with something and he did some upgrades. That keyboard has probably around 30 Years old and... Works, no "win keys" but using an adapter (which I have) I can use a good thing with no pain, that's it, I have to maintain machines here...
